  Notes	Richard E. Hilts, 72, of Old Oneida Road, Verona, died Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born April 24, 1939 in Munnsville, N.Y. a son of Irving and Edna Murfitt Hilts. He attended VVS School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1962. On April 29, 1962 he married Mary Ann Rausch in Marysville, Ohio. Richard was employed by Ohio Water Company and Griffiss Air Base. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Verona and the American Legion. Richard is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Gerry Austin, Verona and Jennifer and Lynn White, Sherrill; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Dean and Sherri Hilts; six grandchildren, Richard, Amber, David, Laura, William, and Jenna; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Durant and Mary Wilcox; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Diana Hilts and Eugene and Peg Hilts; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty McPherson and four brothers, Francis, Dicin, Ronald, and A. Bill Hilts. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Verona. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Rome Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Rick's name. Published in The Oneida Daily Dispatch on June 22, 2011
