- Mr. Terry L. Whited, 53, of LaGrange passed away Friday, October 7, 2011, at West Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Whited was born December 20, 1957, in Elyria, Ohio, son of the late Charles E. Whited and Erma Marie Hall Smith. He was a devoted member of Long Cane Baptist Church. Mr. Whited had a degree in electronics and was a dedicated employee at Interface Flor for 20 years as a maintenance technician. Mr. Whited was a man of integrity with a generous heart, always willing to help and putting the needs of others ahead of his own. He believed in supporting charitable organizations, and donated blood to the American Red Cross regularly. Mr. Whited served in the United States Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed collecting coins and was an avid car collector. He was a loving, husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Judy Whited, of LaGrange; children, Justin (Brandi) Whited, of LaGrange; Patrick Whited, Of Phoenix, AZ, and Kelly Whited, of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Honest Whited and Bryson Whited; a brother, Eddie Whited, of West Point; a sister, Joyce Ogletree, of Lanett, AL; a brother and his wife, Stephen and Carol Whited, of LaGrange; a half brother, Ricky Whited, of Grafton, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 Tuesday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Randy Gilbert officiating. The family will be at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Brandi Whited, at 102 Jasmine Lane, and will receive friends at the funeral home this (Monday) evening from 6:00 until 8:00. In lieu of flowers it is respectfully requested that contributions be made in memory of Mr. Terry L. Whited to the Long Cane Baptist Church Building Fund, 5458 West Point Road, LaGrange, GA 30240.
