- Verl LeRoy Miller, 70 of Charlotte, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at his home. He was born August 21, 1953 in Richwood, WV to the late Verl Utah and Arlene Oleta “Boots” McCourt Miller.
He retired from McClatchey Corporation (The Charlotte Observer Newspaper) in the maintenance/janitorial staff.
He is survived by his aunts and uncles Jennings (Jodeen) McCourt, Annie Kamine, Ann (Timothy) Dotson, Wanda (Richard) Tracy, and Mary (Ronald) Pyles; many cousins; and several extended family and friends to mourn his passing.
Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs. Funeral Services to celebrate Leroy’s life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Lin Hamrick officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Cochran Cemetery.
