- John Luke was born August 1, 1934 at Union Hill south of Ringling to the late Mr. John Luke Neble, Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth (Fields) Neble. He departed this life peacefully at his Ringling residence on Sunday June 3, 3012. Burial was June 6, 2012.
John Luke attended grade school at Union Hill and graduated Ringling High School in 1952. On June 18, 1952 he entered the U. S. Navy and served 2 years and 8 months on the USS Manatee on foreign waters during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on July 1, 1955 at San Francisco, California. He worked as a welder and machinist in many states.
He married Mary Ann Law in 1963 in Delaware, Ohio. After working as a welder for the Electricans Union in various states, they moved to Ringling in 1972. John worked for ARCO until his retirement in 1992. Johh Luke was a hardworking honest man whom was loved by all. He dedicated his life to helping others and caring for his family. John had many interests including restoring antique cars, trucks and motorcycles, running his welding and machine shop, collecting antiques, riding his many Harleys, and frequenting the coffee shop several times a day. His pride and joy were his "Kids", TJ, Dawn, Aftan, Ryan, Ethan, Abbie, and Aimery.
His parents preceded him in death, as did his son, Faron Neble in 2003; a sister in 1933, and sister, Eva Polich.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of the home; Daughter, Dawn Morris and Husband, Matt of Ringling; Son Travis Neble and wife Danielle of Ringling; Sisters, Elizabeth Freeman of Del City and Irene Neble of Oklahoma City; Grandchildren, Aftan Brady of Ringling, Ryan Morris of Ada, Ethan and Abbie Neble of Ringling, and Great grandson, Aimery Brady of Ringling; Special friends, Allen Wade and Jayme Don Scott.
