  Notes	Doyle C. Brooks, 87, entered into God's eternal care on Sunday, February 2, 2014, at home. He was the husband of Joyce E. (Leiphart) Brooks for 22 years. Born February 23, 1926, in Diana, W.Va., Doyle was a son of the late John F. and Ina E. (Anderson) Brooks. Mr. Brooks was a member of Harvest Time Temple, Hanover. He was a former member of Four Square Gospel Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for 30 years. He was a lifelong butcher, working at various places in the Hanover area. Doyle was a talented craftsman and enjoyed woodworking and especially making bird houses. He also was an avid gardener. Additional survivors include one son, M. Bert Brooks and his wife Nancy, Hanover; two daughters, Phyllis Eyler and her husband Carl, Hanover, and Patsy Curran and her husband Dave, Brogue; a stepdaughter, Rebecca Roth and her husband Tim, McSherrystown; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Doyle was preceded in death by his first wife, Lenamae (Fisher) Brooks in 1986. A service to celebrate the life of Doyle Brooks will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Wetzel Funeral Home and Crematory, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Fred Mummert officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to express condolences will be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens, Hanover.
