[6] Notes - William Ray Cogar 86 of Cherry Falls passed away May 7, 2010 at Webster Co. Mewm. Hospital. He was born Oct. 1, 1923 in Braxton Co the son of the late Alva and Iva Cogar. He was preceded in death by his companion Hazel Collins, son Timothy Toms and grandson Jeremy Cogar. Ray spent much of his young life in Braxton Co when the family moved to Webster Springs,WV where his father Alva was a barber for many years. He is survived by his former wife Donna; son David and wife Arlene of Lakeland, FL, son Jimmy Ray and wife Jane of Cottagevile,WV; two grandchildren; Amy and husband Dr. Jamie Miller of Bridgeport, WV; Brent Cogar of Cottageville,WV; three great-grand-children; Trevor, Treyton and Chloe' Miller; stepdaughters; Carol Koslak of Clarksburg,WV; Sharon and husband Dave Rice of Wheelersburg,OH; Susan and husband Bob Long of Oak Hill,OH; step-grand-children; Tim Koslak of Hyattsville, MD; Michelle and husband Michael Walsh of Clarksburg,WV; Melanie Rice of Portsmouth,OH; Robin Hosey of Medina, OH; and Michael Hosey of Van Nuys, CA; sisters; Ann Mustoe, Kathleen Markle, and Betty Cutlip of Webster Springs, WV; brother Bobby and wife Sharon Cogar of N. Madison, OH. Several nieces and nephews who loved "Uncle Ray" and will miss him dearly. He was an army veteran and attended Barton United Methodist Church, Cuirtin, WV. He had a love for hunting, 4 wheeling and going to car auctions. Family will receive friends at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home, Webster Springs,WV on Monday, May 10, 2010, 11 AM to 1: PM where services will begin at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Brandon Moll officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery at Parcoal with Military Honors by VFW Post 3738, Webster Springs, WV.
