He was born on November 3, 1938 in Webster Springs, W. Va.
Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Lincoln Electric, where he was a welder and inspector for 33 years. He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors are his wife, Sharon (Hooper) Cogar; children, Kelly Bearer of Painesville, Robert (Julie) Cogar of Madison, William (Doreen) Cogar of Concord, Julie (Jeff) Jukiewicz of Mentor; step children, Richard (Stephanie) Rohl of Madison, Brian (Maria) Rohl of Madison; 14 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, and one on the way; twin sister, Betty Cutlip of Webster Springs, W. Va.; nephew, Mike (Polly) Cool of Madison; and sister-in-law, Jean Long.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Ray; and sisters Ann, Kathleen, and Ruth.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon with the service at noon at Painesville Baptist Church, 140 Park Rd. Ext, Painesville, Ohio 44077. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery with military honors.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Painesville Baptist Church.
