  Notes	William H. “Bill” Coffey, age 83, of Delaware died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 afternoon in the Hospice room of Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware. He was born in Richwood, West Virginia on November 4, 1924 to the late Wade and Jalley (Knight) Coffey. Bill graduated from Richwood W.V. High School Class of 1943. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served our country in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. When he returned home from the army, he married his wife of 57 years and whom he adored; Eloise M. Coffey on March 27, 1948 in Richwood, W.V. She preceded him in death on May 7, 2005. They moved to the Delaware area in 1990. For years, Bill had worked for several different Auto Body shops as an Auto Body mechanic, including his own shop. Most notably he had worked for the Yellow Cab Company in Columbus. He also worked in the maintenance department of Grady Memorial Hospital. When he was 80 years of age he took a job working for Signstrut in Delaware and Milwaukee Sign Company as a painter. Bill was also a member of the VFW in Harrisburg, Ohio and the American Legion in Richwood, W. V. When Bill was not working, he found great pleasure in fishing, especially with his family. He had many wonderful memories of when he and his wife, Eloise, would take their daughters to Canada to fish together twice a year. Bill also enjoyed bowling, and he would bowl as many as 5 nights a week if he could. He considered his proudest accomplishments his marriage of 57 years and the birth of his Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and Great-great-grandchildren He is survived by his loving Daughters: Nancy (Bob) Wood of Delaware, Linda (Mike) Knight of Las Vegas, Peggy (JR) Burton of Oak Hill, Oh, Doris Coffey of Delaware and Debra Coffey of Delaware, 6 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, Brothers: Charlie (Joanne) Coffey of Denver, Colorado, Edward (Karen) Coffey of El Paso, Texas, and Harold Coffey of Richwood, West Viriginia. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where services will follow Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Donny Akers officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
