  Notes	Ruth Knight Batton, age 76, of 25353 Ginger Rd., Freeport, O., died at 1:47 a.m. Friday, Dec. 05, 2008, in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover, O. Born Dec. 21, 1931, in Persinger, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Theodore Hammond Knight and Mary Etta Little Knight. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time and helping family and friends. She enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, raising and showing horses, bowling, crafting and playing cards. Surviving are six children, Linda (Don) Robinson of New Philadelphia, O., Brenda (Bruce) Ripley of Gillette, Wyo., James (Anna) Batton of Ripley, W.Va., Phil (Chris) Batton of Freeport, O., Brett (Shona) Batton of Ripley, W.Va., and Matthew Batton of Dennison, O.; three brothers, Ray Knight of Akron, O., Ted Knight of Hudson, O., and Charles Knight of Freeport, O.; eight grandchildren, Teresa (Ben) Wilkes, Aaron (Melanie) Ripley, Joni Hines, Jaime (John) Pierce, Christopher Batton, Leslie (Scott) Hotchkiss, Lori (Jeremy) Huff, and Ethan Batton; six great-grandchildren, Hannah Hotchkiss, Wyatt Hines, Emily Hines, Brody Huff, Samara Wilkes and Gabriel Wilkes; plus numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. Preceding her in death were a daughter, Barbara, in 1973; a son, Bart, in 1999; three sisters, Fern Belknap, Nannie Rose and Ruby Butler; and four brothers, Jack Knight, Bill Knight, Sterling Knight and Warren Knight. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in Koch Funeral Home at 216 S. High St., Freeport, O., and a service will follow visitation at 5 p.m. with Pastor Dave Koch officiating. A service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, in Epling Chapel Cemetery at Looneyville, W.Va., with Pastor Kenneth Metz officiating.
