  Notes	PlainDealer-Sun.com 3 Apr 2007 Lois Evelyn Walker, 70, was active 4-H'er in youth here Lois Evelyn Walker, 70, of Columbus died Friday, March 30, 2007, at 10 a.m. at her home. Mrs. Walker was a graduate of Hayden High School and had worked at McDonald's, Jack & Jill Preschool as an aide, Cummins Engine Company as a secretary and Dickson Christian Supply. She was a member of East Columbus United Methodist Church, where she had been the organist and a member of Miriam Circle. She was the 1953 Jennings County 4-H Achievement Queen and a 4-H'er for many years as a young woman. The funeral was Monday at East Columbus United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Charles R. Aigner. Burial was at Garland Brook Cemetery. Myers-Reed Dignity Memorial Chapel handled arrangements. Mrs. Walker was born Oct. 7, 1936, in Jennings County, the daughter of Ora A. and Maude Perry Tracy. She married Gerald Walker on June 10, 1956, in Hayden. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Renita Bettner of Columbus and Regina Tekulve of New Salisbury, Ind.; a son, Ron Walker of Columbus; two brothers, Lester Tracy and Luis Tracy, both of Seymour; and eight grandchildren, Aaron, Linda and Billy Bettner and Hannah and Renee Walker, all of Columbus, and Katie, T.J. and Cara Tekulve, all of New Salisbury. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Gail Hoffman on Oct. 14, 2006; and her parents. Memorial contributions may be made to East Columbus United Methodist Church.
