He was born August 6, 1939 to the late John A. and Nellie Mae Landrum Carden in Richwood, WV. He was a Christian. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was loved dearly by his family and many friends. He loved the outdoors, hunting and camping. He enjoyed puttering in his shop. He always tried to help and befriend anyone in need. He was a coal miner for over 20 years. His favorite TV shows was Dr. Poe and any Westerns Survivors Wife of 60 yrs., Linda Rose Carden, Richwood, WV. 3 Children, Vickie Ellison, Richwood, WV. Kevin Carden, Mocksville, NC. Greg Carden, Mc Calla, AL. 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren 5 Sisters, Roselee Spencer, WV, Annabelle Poe, OH, Annalea Goodheart, OH, Garnett Williams, OH and Neva Alderman, WV Services will be on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, with visitation starting at 1:00pm and services 3:00pm in Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, WV. With Pastor Brant Seacrist officiating. Interment will be in Richwood Cemetery, Richwood, WV. Also, the family would like to extend their gratitude to the Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time. Arrangements were made by Simons-Coleman Funeral Home, Richwood, WV.
