- WOOSTER -- Eileen L. McCune, 90 Wooster, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, at Wooster Community Hospital.Services will be Friday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with the Rev. Larry Black officiating. Burial will be in Hoskinsville Cemetery.The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Wooster, 243 N. Market St., Wooster 44691, in her memory.She was born Jan. 12, 1919, in Lima, the daughter of Edward and Thelma (Roop) Duriez, and married Derwood A. McCune on Aug. 28, 1937. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1989.Eileen had worked at the William Annat Co. and ran Mac’s General Store in West Canaan.She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wooster, where she had been a member of the choir and Social Club. She also was a member of the Garden & Flower Club in Florida, and enjoyed flowers and singing. She loved her children and grandchildren, and was a kind hearted lady who will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.Surviving are her daughters Jacqueline (Ernest) Gelman of Bedford, N.Y., and Marilyn (William) Guisinger of Springfield, Tenn.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Duddy Ogden, of California.In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Harold Duriez and a sister, Mickey Fisher.
