Cheryl was born on December 1, 1944 in Lakeview, daughter of the late Verlin C. and Mary E Snapp Herndon. She was preceded in death by her son, John Lillard who passed away September 20, 2019. Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Bill) Leonard of Roundhead, OH, five grandchildren, Ryan (Tia) Lillard, Jessica (Matt) Mathison, Seth (Anna) Lillard, Bailey Leonard and Rylee Leonard, ten great grandchildren, Burke, Madden, and Nixon Lillard, Gavin, Brody and Jaxen Orsborne, Kameron and Karlee Mathison, Thad and Finn Lillard, her aunt, Marilyn Snapp, and former husband, Mike Lillard. Cheryl was a 1962 graduate of Stokes Local Schools. She worked for many years at Downtown Discount Grocery. Cheryl enjoyed reading. She loved being with all of her grandchildren and attending their sporting events. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 2-4 pm at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S.
