He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Drummond Crowder; parents, John and Atlas Crowder; and brother, Tommy Crowder. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert K. Crowder, Eric and Rebecca Crowder, Nick and Dana Crowder; step-grandchildren, Courtney and Gavin Hodge; James and Harlie Curry; brother, John Crowder; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary "Tootsie" Crowder, Alma "Dolly" and Terry Moran, Sandy and Randy Freeman, Linda Bandy, Janet Horn; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 and funeral services at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Eagle Rock Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.
