  Notes	Betty Mae Hylton Barger, 96, of Daleville, went to meet her Savior on Friday, January 3, 2014, after almost 97 years on earth. She spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her five children, sewing, quilting and making jams, jellies and her famous pickles. She loved her family and her Lord. Mrs. Barger was a member at Immanuel Baptist Church, Clifton Forge, and more recently attended Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Barger; parents, Z.P. and Patra Ann Hylton; three sisters and two brothers. Surviving are two sisters, Ona Bradbury of Eden, N.C. and Ida Matthews of Orange; children, Cleo (Jerry) Firebaugh, Troutville, Velma (Thomas) Powell, Roanoke, David (Myra) Barger, Buchanan, Anita (Joseph) Pellerin, Harrisonburg, Rebecca (Donald) Lopez, Daleville; grandchildren, Wayne (Lisa) Firebaugh, Roanoke, Pamela (Richard) Saunders, Dillwyn, Ricky (Janet) Powell, Mooresville, N.C., Cindy Zuberer, Louisville, Ky., Philip (Holly) Powell, Roanoke, Brian (Robin) Barger, Walnut Cove, N.C., Shelley (Chris) Spradlin, Colorado, Paula (Brian) Rhodes, Buchanan, Laura (Shawn) Green, Harrisonburg, Megan (Paul) Hallquist, Orange, Christopher Pellerin, Harrisonburg, Debra (Mark) Young, Roanoke, Andrea (Frank) Leonard, Blue Ridge, Michelle Lopez, Roanoke, David (Laura) Lopez, Roanoke, Daniel Lopez, Roanoke, VA ; and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Alderman and the Rev. Mike Woody officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Oakey's North Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Gideons International.
