  Notes	Carol Jean Miles Shoup, 63, of Rio Communities died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice in Albuquerque. Shoup was born March 6, 1938, to Oscar L. Miles and Jessie J. Bender Miles in Bergoo, W. Va. She graduated from high school in Widen, W. Va. In 1959, she married Robert "Bob" Shoup. They owned and operated their own business until retiring. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, cooking, needlepoint, and spending time with her family. Her parents preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Shoup, of Belen; two brothers, Ray Miles of Carlsbad and Roger Miles of Albuquerque; and two sisters, Kathleen Stribling of Sulfur Spring, Texas, and Corliss Hall of New Iberia, La. Church of Christ, Artesia, officiating. Interment at the Carlsbad Cemetery.
