  Notes	Eugene R. "Gene" Hoverman, 93, died the morning of Oct. 2, 2008, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born Nov. 5, 1914, in Kossuth to Earl Ray and Iona Metzger Hoverman, who preceded him in death. On April 17, 1938, in Kossuth, he married Fern L. Lockwood, who died Aug. 10, 1986. In 1997, he married Anna Prouse, who died in 2003. Mr. Hoverman had been a farmer and worked at Westinghouse Electric Corp., Lima, during World War II. He had owned and operated Lakeview Minnow Hatchery, Lakeview. He had also been a maintenance supervisor at Days Inn at Disney World, Orlando, Fla. He was a member of Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene, Lakeview. He was a graduate of Spencerville High School and attended a machinist trade school in Los Angeles during the depression. He had lived in Florida for 40 years, returning to Ohio in 2004 to be with his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, flea markets, auctions, gardening and Gospel music. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Mowery, of Wapakoneta, and Arlene (Keith) Klauer, of Russells Point; a son, Larry (Mary Lou) Hoverman, of Lakeview; seven grandchildren, Peggy Lawson, Terri Hershberger, Ginger Beard, Julia Mowery, Steve Klauer, Jill Texeira and David Klauer; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nina Henne, of Cridersville. He was preceded in death by a sister, Fern Link; and a brother, Austin Hoverman. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene, Lakeview. Burial will be in Kossuth Cemetery, Kossuth. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shoffstall Funeral Home, Lakeview, and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund or the food bank at Indian Lake Northside Church of the Nazarene.
