  Notes	Ocie Gathel "Granny" Barnette, 83, of Boggs, WV went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 1, 1932, a daughter to the late Vena and Branty Barnette and John and Jacqueline Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Barnette; infant daughter, Donna Barnette; sisters, Lilly Duely, Macel McCort and Viola Dorsey; and a brother, Lanty Roscoe Barnette. She is survived by her children, Sherry Barnette of Frametown, Brenda and Jimmie Rollyson of Frametown, Gus McCourt of Boggs, Larry McCourt of Boggs, Juanita and Junior Cunningham of Birch River, and Donnie Barnette of Boggs; sisters, Esta Boggs, Leta Jenkins, Betty Stump, Jacqueline Hughes, Gay Dobbins, Pearl Cowger and Hazel Lawson; brothers, Homer Barnette, Curt Carpenter, Bill Carpenter, John Carpenter, Oscar Carpenter, Cam Carpenter and Matt Carpenter; brother-in-law, Don McCort; grandchildren, Jake McCraw, Patricia Myers, Arlene Jordan, Jessica Helmick, Gary Cunningham, Juanita Cunningham, Jason Rollyson, Becky Key, Bobby Cunningham and Lisa Cunningham; and twenty great-grandchildren. She was an avid country and bluegrass fan, and was known to all her clogging friends as "Granny". Services will be held at 1PM, Monday, August 17, 2015 at Adams-Reed Funeral Home, Cowen, with the Reverend Keith Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Doyle Barnette Memorial Cemetery, Birch River.
